Brillant! Brillant pH that is.

Part of the day was meeting different vendors. I do not blog for money per se, I do not ordinarily do reviews, BUT I met a few business’s that I said I would try their product and if I liked it I would write a blog post all about it.
First up is a product for all women, who have a period. The product is Brillant pH Tampons, by RepHresh.
I was caught by the Ph in a tampon, what is this. SO I stopped to listen in. Hmm, this is interesting. I move in closer. I was intrigued. Intrigued by tampons, tampons that reduce the usual vaginal pH that occurs during your period. I never heard of such a thing, pH in the menstrual fluid. Its at this point that I ask a question about the pH levels, I had never heard of this and I have been having a period for a long long time.
It was explained to me that ” Blood has a pH of 7.4. The normal non-menstrual vaginal pH range is 3.5 to 4.5. During your period, the presence of blood causes your vaginal pH to increase. Tampons absorb the fluids that cause pH to increase and retain them within your body.”
This I did not know. I found this most interesting. Did you know that we have a normal vaginal range of 3.5-4.5 PH but it increases to 7.4 during our periods?

…Now That’s Brilliant!
I was offered a box of the Brillant Ph Tampons to try, I said that I would like to, and I agreed to write about my experience.
That experience took place a week ago,I noticed a difference immediately. I told myself I was not coming to any conclusions until I finished in a few days. I wanted to see how much more absorbent they were. I wanted to see if the odor that seems to occur with my period would be different. I started thinking after that conversation I had at their booth that the change in the Ph could be the reason why there is always an odor associated with my period. And I wanted to see if there was a difference. I DID see a difference in both with the absorbency and with the odor. Both were improved to have made me notice that I liked using Brillant Ph Tampons. You will too.So give them a try.
