Do you wash your face with Soap, Please tell me NO.

Acid Mantle, have you ever heard of this term? Acid mantle – Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Washing with bar soap or any harsh cleanser for that matter removes the acid mantle on your face, why is that important you are asking? ”But I have an oily face, I like to wash my face to remove all the oil.”
I have talked about how oily skin benefits better than any other skin type because their face is actually constantly moisturized and nourished with the skin’s natural produced sebum and moisture balance. So if you wash your face with soap, you take that all away and even the acidity that the skin needs to kill bacteria will be removed. With less and less oil produced on your skin, and moisture balance, your skin becomes thinner, dry, and dehydrated, producing many fine lines.
Fine lines turn into wrinkles. Dry skin will turn to mature skin. Once you have mature skin, there is no turning back. “Lovelyish”
” Have you ever noticed a RING around your bathtub,or what some refer to as scum after using these products. What do you think is left on your face after you use them. This same pore clogging remnant. Just, think, if your having a hard time removing this ring from around your tub, is it going to be any easier to clean your pores from these clogging ingredients.” End Quote Read more at http://www.articlealley.com/article_655449_28.html?ktrack=kcplink
Because an alkaline environment encourages the growth of acne-causing bacteria, using a bar soap can make breakouts worse. In addition, the higher pH disrupts your skin’s natural barrier function, so water evaporates more quickly and dry skin becomes even drier. However, if you prefer a bar soap to liquid, at least look for one that’s gentle and nondrying, like Purpose Gentle Cleansing Bar with glycerin, or Cetaphil Gentle Cleansing Bar, which is nonalkaline. I know if you are used to washing with bar soap, it is a small adjustment to switching to a milk or creamy cleanser. We grew up washing with soap, having that taught streaky feeling skin thinking its clean and having no idea we were stripping away the natural Ph level of our skin, then when we had skin issues we had no idea why. I remember when I switched over to a milk cleanser more than 15 years ago, it was strange, I did think I had not cleansed my skin well, it did not feel tight, tight = clean right? Educating myself on skincare, I knew that what I was feeling and thinking ” still dirty” was actually what my skin should be feeling like, it took about two weeks, by then I had adjusted , my skin was happy and now when I do not have a milky cleanser on hand , I am beside myself and the dry skin on my face, and upset that I forgot to pack it.
Remember you can always ask me for samples, we have 4 skin types, Normal/Dry,Sensitive,Oily & Mature. The oily sample would be a gel cleanser. The others are milky cleansers.
