Wear your SPF sunscreen, Especially in the winter. Why? It is just as important to use sunscreen in the winter because very often when there is snow, the sun reflects right off the snow and this increases our UV exposure, hence the need for sunscreen. Not so much your whole body, but your face, neck and hands.
The difference between American woman and French woman, is that the French take care of their skin from when they are young girls and continue on throughout their lives. They do not rely on make up, clean skin is their best beauty secret. Americans do not pay any attention at all when they are young to taking care of their skin (I did not until I was about 28 years old). Makeup s supposed to help you look better, not worse. And, yet most American woman wear skin damaging foundations that clog their pores and exacerbate the appearance of the wrinkles they are trying to hide.
Do you apply a night time moisturizer? You should, because the night is a great time for our skin to repair itself. Nighttime is the best time for our skin to repair and restore itself. So sleep is very important to healing our skin. Using a good night creme is especially oriented to the healing process of the skin,is very helpful in the winter months.Night creams are created to work synergistically with what your skin needs.
Exfoliate: its better to use enzyme or fruit acids as your exfoliants in the winter, versus granular exfoliants.
Eye Cream: I never knew this so I am sharing it with you. In the winter we do not have oil production around the curves around our eye area. This makes it more susceptible to drying. Also, using an eye creams keep you looking younger. The area around the eyes is most susceptible to aging. If you start early protecting this area, you will look more youthful down the road.
Eye cream application, DOES NOT go on right up under the eye. Eye cremes migrate, you are supposed to apply he eye cream, gel or balm to the TOP of the cheek bone, it will and it does migrate up onto the thinnest skin on the body, under the eye, Women get product in their eyes, it burns and they think it was the product, it is NOT the product most all of the time( there are allergies some women have to eye creams) its because the cream migrate into the eye, as it will if it is applied to close to the eye, the top of the cheek bone is where it should be applied.
