The NYC Wine Expo & Thirsty Girls LLC

This weekend was the 4th Annual Wine Expo here in NYC…. Thirsty Girls LLC was one of the sponsors. More about Thirsty Girls later on.

I had never been to a wine expo,I am not sure of this is true of all, but this one was Countries and regions in the USA who are trying to find distribution here in the states.

Portugal,Brazil, Chile,Greece,The Finger Lakes,NY,California and more. We tasted for over three hours and drank a few outstanding wines from Portugal  Chile and California. Also, from Chile a Sherry. I only recently began drinking Port with my husband ,who loves drinking port. Sherry, I was kind of, nah I do not think so. My Husband tried the sherry and walks over to me and said, “initially it came on hard,a little bitter, then it settles down and the finish is wonderful and lasting” so I ask to try it. I like bitter, I thought  hmmm maybe I might like this Sherry too. Right he was,bitter first notes and then slowly, slowly making its way along your palate this amazing increase in dancing taste buds (is the only way I can describe this) I was tasting butterscotch,the candy bit o honey,my husband tasted caramel and our girlfriend( and Thirsty Girl ) tasted butter pecan ice cream……the finish after sipping this sherry is unforgettable. Port and Sherry are two very diffrent digestifs. Digestifs, is served at the end of a meal to aid your digestion,but modern medicine has disproved this belief.
