Would I? Would you?  Would you have injectables? The fraxel laser?  I think I would consider having a treatment, not at this moment but in the future. What do you think about crows feet, do yours bother you? Do you wish you could remove or lessen them?  Share with us what your thinking about tis topic.

All around the world

The news that Steve Jobs had died yesterday evening, stopped many beloved apple fans in their tracks. I believe that there are many people out there who have no idea who Steve Jobs,and just what he accomplished in his short life. For those who do not know who he is,there are millions who do.  Written like I would like to write the post myself but did not.

Sometimes ordinary, everyday people manage to do great things…Steve Jobs was such a person. He changed my life …in a way that I didn’t think about until he was gone. The Joni Mitchell lyric, ‘you don’t know what you’ve got till it’s gone’ is never truer. Did I ever think about the humanity behind the Apple brilliance and creation?….No, not really…I took it for granted like all the other new-fangled extravagances available in this world. Did I put a face to a name?…Not really…Steve Jobs was just a guy I read about, a guy in a turtleneck and sneakers, a brainwave with a big vision and even bigger personality. How neglectful of me…Without all my Apples what would I do? It is how I connect, how I learn, how I create…Like it or not, time spent with the Apples is many hours a day and like it or not it’s often more time than we spend with our friends and families…It is rather brutal to think that our time is so dominated by hardware and software but that is the reality of how we live….

I never think about how things work or why they do what they do…I just want them to do their stuff. I have no patience for technical issues…no interest…just high expectations. This is probably not admirable but it is the way I feel about all the metal in my life….I want to open..shift…alt…ctrl…close as and when I need…I want to write and browse as and when the mood takes me…I want to play with photos and videos on a whim and upload and download at rapid speed….I am 100% selfish when it comes to the relationship I have with my computer and with my ipad. Steve Jobs and his team understood this partnership….they were innovative and forward thinking, they helped make this happen and they continually enhanced the one on one experience…

Apple will continue and will prosper of that I have no doubt and to Steve Jobs ….thank you for the unimaginable possibilities, the endless opportunities and the ultimate ease to live in a connected world…xv

Washington DC, 46 Mommas.

10/01/11 | by | Skin Care Info | No Comments »-->

Last week Votre Vu took part in the 46 Moms who shaved their Heads to be just like their child,who was dealing with having cancer. From all over the country,the Moms came and after they had their heads shaved, Votre Vu and our Celebrity Make Up Artist ( MUA) gave each Mom a make over using Votre Vu products.

Personally, this touched my own heart. I recall saying that  if anyone close to me who had to deal with losing their hair because of treatment or illness, I too would shave my head. I have not had to live up to that, but it does still stand with me,if anyone close to me….. I will shave my head. I commend all the Moms.
