This week  had a doldrums feel to it. Grey skies and cold cold cold. I am dreaming of a jaunt to somewhere warm and sunny. One of the daily blogs I read, is from a photographer in europe. Today, her post was just what the Doctor ordered. Spring has sprung. This post today, brightened up my expecting winter snow today mood.

We are off to Boston later today.Its my husband movie premiere weekend. EXCITED!!

I hope you have a mood brightening day with Carla’s photos.

Gift wrapping and presentation

01/02/12 | by | Food~ Travel~ Fun | No Comments »-->

I do love pretty packages, presentation is all a part of the appeal. If a piece of bubble gum is package in such a way, I do not care that my gift is a single ball of gum. I have always been moved by packaging. NOT just holiday,but commercially too.It must be the designer in me.

A new blog today, she is showcasing different ways of presenting and wrapping gifts. Take a look.

I Follow Carla loves photography

12/23/11 | by | Food~ Travel~ Fun | No Comments »-->

Partly because I like her photographic style and partly because her husband is from the region in Italy that my family is from. One post even had a photo from the small town of Terlizi where my grandparents came from, where I visit regularly. I love Italy.

Today I read one of her her posts called ” Give  ”ITALY” This Christmas. When she speaks of her husband’s Nonna and how they are making the panzarotti,cime de rape and dolce, it made me smile. My Nonna made these dishes too. Not so much the Baccala, but other fishes that nonna was able to use while living in the USA.

I love Christmas Eve the most, when my family and our Italian hertiage food is served. Friends stop in all evening long. It is a lovely, happy family and friend filled evening. Very casual.

Christmas Day is more formal and has been Americanized now that my nonna is not here with us.

I wish for you, Love,Peace ,Joy and Health.

Merry Christmas
