The Bra Intervention OH MY!

09/09/11 | by | Food~ Travel~ Fun | No Comments »-->

Laugh if you must,but this is not a laughing matter.

I was invited to, but due to a schedule conflict I did not attend. The evening consisted of a Trunk Show of Carlisle’s Fall styles. Carlisle offers women beautiful ,stylish and well constructed clothing.

One of the guests is the author Jené Luciani.     According to a September 2006 episode of the “The Oprah Winfrey Show” countless American women are in need of a serious “bra intervention.” Eighty-five percent of women are wearing the wrong bra. What else don’t we know about which one is the right one?

Taking it Door-to Door

09/06/11 | by | Food~ Travel~ Fun, Reviews, Skin Care Info | No Comments »-->

Today one of my Votre Vu colleagues was written up in an Alabama magazine. The Magazine wrote a piece on Direct Selling, Talking about the Who,the Why and the success of Direct Selling.

Take a look, the article was well written and highlights the success and positives of direct selling. I know I was not interested in any way shape or form in Direct Selling. That’s was until I decided to give it a shot with Votre Vu. I’m in my third year with Votre Vu ,I am more educated on direct selling, I am making more money and I have  learned  more about my company and its vision and strengths.  Looking back it was a tad scary, I know I will never be a multi product line direct seller, I am a ONE company woman. I have so much respect for this industry. Are there companies out there that will take advantage of you, YES. Homework has to be done, you have to research the company you might be interested in. Go to Direct Selling 411. Go to the Direct Sellers Association, if the company is not a member of the DSA, this is a RED FLAG ( it took our Membership  almost 2 years for approval), we were a Ground Floor company,but existing companies should be a members of the DSA. Find out about the financial stability of the company, Votre Vu is rock solid, owes NOT one cent to a bank or lender. Rock Solid. You want to know the company is going to be around.  Then make your decision to join and start your own business.

If you need to earn an extra $200 a month, Direct sales could help you. In my company we make our income immediately, no waiting until your downline exists, or is preforming to the required level.  IMMEDIATE  income on every sale you make from your very first hour as a Brand Ambassador.

Meritage Resort & Spa

07/15/11 | by | Food~ Travel~ Fun | No Comments »-->

This is the resort in which my husband and I along with the other Votre Vu achievers are staying.  It looks really nice.

I am so looking forward to  going into the Caves.

The hubs and I leave tomorrow for San Fransisco, we are stying in the condo building that his cousin lives in. They keep one condo that visitors can rent,so this is what we are doing. Monday, we have hired a town car to drive us the hour + drive up north to Napa Valley. The shuttle from San Fransisco airport with the Vu group should arrive by 12:30 pm.

I have a team member who I have not  yet met, who lives out in the San Fransisco area. She is driving up to The Meritage that afternoon so we can spend sometime together. She is taking a room and staying over night. It should be very nice finally meeting her and spending some quality time together.

Tuesday we are scheduled to tour a vineyard and a lovely dinner that night.

Wednesday, those of us who attained the VIP status… are treated to a day at the spa. Facials, Massages and spa lunch included. Another nice dinner that evening is planned.

Thursday is the last day and we have a vineyard tour and another cave tour and BBQ that evening.

All in all I know this will be another wonderful trip that Votre Vu planned for us.  Of that, I am sure.

Work hard= Play Hard, my father always says this.  I worked hard to earn the trip for hubs and I and we will have a great time playing with VU too.

P.S.  If time permits I would love to do this:  Hubs and I have done this one time before in Vermont, I can imagine the beauty of flying over Napa.

France & America = Bastille Day

07/12/11 | by | Food~ Travel~ Fun, Skin Care Info | No Comments »-->

I worked what Votre Vu calls a Vu Bar event Sunday. The event was Bastille Day here in NYC. It was a beautiful sunny summer day. The estimate was that over 20,000.00 people walk the 3 block event ( On 60th St from Fifth Avenue over to Lexington Ave)

Our Vu Bar is a beautifully designed traveling Air Stream to market our brand. We receive many comments on the beauty of the air stream and what a nice job in creating a Spa Bar inside. Its not  a full service spa ,its a small area where one can test our products.

My team and I….worked the event, it was the first time we all worked together. We work well together and enjoyed the day. It is a tiring long day, but we all had a good time. Today we are following up with our contacts from yesterday. A day in the life of a direct seller.

I have been so busy the last month, I have not had time to post regularly. Looks like things are not about to slow down anytime soon.

La Fete the annual conference for Votre Vu was the last weekend in June 24-26. Then we rolled into The Nations Celebration  The 4th of July…. all th while I am driving back and forth from NYC to Rhode Island working on( what turned out to be a larger project than when we started) This has begun to take a toll on me. I am tired all the time, I am tired of driving, I want to go away for a week and relax.

Going away for a week to relax is about to happen. I believe I told you that I had earned the VIP Trip for 2 to Napa Valley with Votre Vu, well the day is approaching quickly.  Hubs and I leave next weekend, going out a few days early… I have been to Napa once before , also with the hubs. We both are looking forward to going back to this beautiful area of California, that has a European feel to it.  Even if you do not drink wine, I highly recommend you go visit Napa and Sonoma Valley.

This trip is all paid for by Vu.

One night we are dining at: Welcome to Chef Michael Chiarello’s Bottega Ristorante Napa Valley

Another night we will be at:Cindy Pawlcyn’s Go Fish Napa Valley Restaurant – Seafood & Steaks

And :Chasing Grapes with S.E. Chase Cellars – Featured – Vine Times – The Magazine for California’s Wine Country and a BBQ Dinner too.

Weekend, Beach time?

06/17/11 | by | Food~ Travel~ Fun | No Comments »-->

Summer still has not moved in. It has been crazy one day it is 95 and humid and then the next it is only 58. It has been hard for me to get into the full summer groove.

I have my sunscreens and I even bought two new bathing suits this year.I had not bought a new suit for the last few years,it was time.

I do not know about you, but I do love beach glass. I cam across the ETSY Store : Beach Glass Shop”

Have a look for yourself.Beach Glass Shop Lake Erie Shores by beachglassshop on Etsy

This weekend Sam and I are off to Boston to celebrate our Anniversary. Usually we go to Vermont where we were married,but wanted a change this year. OH and did you hear the Boston Bruins WON the Stanley Cup  the other night? We are staying in Copley Square at the Westin and we found out yesterday that the PARADE to Celebrate their Championship is tomorrow and the parade will end in Copley. It will be a crazy day in Boston tomorrow.

Next week I am up in Rhode Island working on the Beach house project. I will also be traveling to Chicago on Thursday to attend LA FETE, the annual convention magnifique with Vu.

Sporadic posts from me I know. I apologize.I seem to run out of time every day lately to get all the items on my TO DO list done. It just is not working out that way. :-(

HAPPY WEEKEND!!!  What ever you are doing, ENJOY!
